Revolution fast base foundation stick Review

As an avid Superdrug shopper, I was well aware of Makeup Revolution and Revolution Pro products. So when I heard that they were releasing a wide range of shades for foundation products, I had to try them.

Prior to their release of the Fast Base Foundation Stick, I could only really find my shade in stick form from expensive brands like Illamasqua and Anastasia Beverly Hills. Which is why I was quite surprised and happy when I could go into a drugstore and swatch my shade in a variety of formulas.

The fast base foundation stick is a cream formula. It comes in 18 shades, ranging from extremely light to very dark. For a budget brand, I think this is a big step up, as I can recall going into shops and colours stopping at me or 4 shades lighter than me.

The product is very good, and I got two shades so I could use one as a contour shade too. That's how dark the shades go. The packaging for the product is also very nice, its a creamy nude shade with a rose gold accent which I thought was a good change from the usual black tubes cream foundations come in.

Long-wear of the product does leave your face a little oily, or at least it does on my face as I have combination skin and most foundations either play up on my dry areas or make me oilier areas very shiny. When I do wear the foundation for a long period of time I do carry powder with me to reduce the shine and I do set the foundation following application.

The staying power of this foundation is very good. I can tell you that for a fact. To test how good it was, I wore it to watch Avengers Endgame. I cried throughout the entire movie and came out with a solid base, no streaks at all.

In conclusion, I love this foundation. It may only be a couple of pounds but it does the job well and I would buy it again when I run out of my main shade. the undertones could be improved on but they work and with all the other processes done - contour, highlight bronzing, etc. - the end look is flawless.
