Primark Alice In Wonderland Makeup Line

August 17, 2018

"I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!" ~ The White Rabbit.

Walking through my local Primark, something in the corner of my vision caught my attention. Alice in Wonderland, and a whole lot of it. Looking at whay was on offer I couldn't help myself and I just had to get a sample of what they had to offer! By a sample you know I had to get EVERYTHING. Just so you know, getting this collection did make me late to an important date.

  • ☆.。.:* MAGICAL FACE AND EYE PALETTE .。.:*☆

This palette has 12 eyeshadows in a range of magical colours that can be found all over wonderland. The shadows aren't named but they are all beautiful and bright, and the pigmentation is amazing. As my first makeup item from Primark I was surprised to see how good the shadows were.

The highlighters were also really bright and as for the colour selection I found that 3 out of the 4 colours available worked wonderfully on my melanin infused skin, but would also work well on paler skin.

In this set ther was 2 lipglosses too, a bright pink one with the Cheshire Cat printed on the front. To say I loved this is an understatement! The other lipgloss is a shimmery nude with Alice on the front. For the first time in a long while I have found a set of glosses that I love. The only downside is that they are mini sized, but I would happily buy them full sized! Bonus, they also smell like sweet coffee.

The packaging is totally sweet! It makes you think of wonderland, boasting Alice and the Cheshire cat surrounded by flowers that look like the singing flowers from the movie. Inside there is a mirror surrounded by the singing flowers and Alice, this time with her cat. Everything about this palette gives me life, and for £10 it was totally worth it!

  • ☆.。.:* Mini Lipstick Trio .。.:*☆

As the name implies, this is a set of three minitures. The shades are Rasberry, Peach and Rose, unfortunately Raspberry was the only one that suited me. I found that the colours on the packaging did not match the shades of the lipsticks, them being much darker on the packaging than they really are which was a bit of a let down as I was expecting a brown shade, a berry shade and a nude shade but I got 2 pinky nudes and one berry shade.

The lipsticks had a sweet smell to them but when applying them you could really smell the waxiness, but it's bearable. The colour quality is quite good even if they don't suit me.

The packaging has the same floral print with Alice on the front, the actual lipstick is in a little pull out part, which I thought was really cool. On the lipstick tubes there are prints of Alice on them which is cute. A great bargain for £4

  • ☆.。.:* Heart Lipstick .。.:*☆

This lipstick is one perfect for the Queen of Hearts! These are full sized tubes and there was 3 shade options ~ I chose the pink one ~ the lipstick is heart shaped and is really pigmented too. The lipstick has the same sweet smell when sniffed but also smells waxy when being applied.

The tube has  a clear window at the top so you can see the heart instantly, which I found was really cute. The tube itself was black with a gold print of Alice on the side. The bottom of the tube has the same floral print as all the other items in this set. My only downside with this product is that you have to be very careful when removing and applying the lid because any variation to the heart lipstick inside will lead to the lipstick being ruined. The lipsticks were £3 each.

  • ☆.。.:*   Conclusion .。.:*☆

My conclusion is that this makeup is way better than I thought it would be and that as an Alice in Wonderland fan this is a totally worthwhile set to have. And as someone who missed the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland set, I am happy to have a more affordable alternative that I can get this time around.

Thank you for reading.
